London S. Ballard

London S. Ballard (she/her) is the Founder of Ballard Family Law LLC. London is a native Idahoan who originally moved to Oregon to pursue her undergraduate studies at the University of Portland. After graduating, London went on to obtain her Juris Doctor from the University of Oregon School of Law.

Prior to entering private practice, London clerked for the Honorable Patricia L. McGuire of the Multnomah County Circuit Court. After clerking, London entered private practice and has been practicing family law ever since.

In her family law practice, London brings a unique blend of skill and passion to every client’s case. Her commitment to steadfast advocacy for families and children is evident in every aspect of her work; she thoroughly enjoys bringing resolution to her clients’ lives.

London focuses on providing meticulous guidance by approaching each client’s situation with a thoughtful strategy that involves comprehensive research, a profound grasp of court procedures and extensive legal knowledge.

Throughout her career, London has served on numerous Boards and organizations, including but not limited to, the Multnomah Bar Association Court Liaison Committee, the American Constitution Society’s Board, the Race for Justice Committee, OGALLA Board as the Mentorship Program Co-Chair and Judicial Selection Committee Co-Chair, and as a Board member on the Portland Lesbian Choir’s Board of Directors.

Over the last few years, London has devoted significant time to pro bono activities, including volunteering with Legal Aid Society of Oregon and St. Andrew Legal Clinic. Separately, London devotes numerous hours representing children through the Multnomah County Attorneys for Children program, with a particular speciality in representing children who are neurodivergent, queer and/or gender non-conforming.

SuperLawyers Magazine has recognized London as a Rising Star each year since 2022. This accolade is a testament to her skill, commitment and impact in the legal field.

Jordan E. McDermott (she/her) is a self-taught paralegal who transitioned into this role after beginning her career as a legal assistant. In her current role, she plays a key part in the firm’s operations by managing case files, conducting intake screenings, drafting correspondence and pleadings, and assisting with trial preparation while ensuring clients remain up to date on any and all developments in their matter. Her keen attention to detail and effective communication skills make her an invaluable team member, enhancing the firm’s ability to provide exceptional service.

Jordan is happiest with a boarding pass in hand and a new destination on the horizon. At home, her world revolves around her cat, Chuckie — a tiny legend with a big personality. Jordan is also a proud supporter of women’s sports and will always show up (loudly) for the Portland Thorns FC — Go Thorns!
